Freeport Slumps To $3.3 Billion 2014 Net Loss; Gold Production Down

Mining giant Freeport-McMoRan Inc. (NYSE:FCX) posted a $3.1 billion, or $3.00 per share, loss in the fourth-quarter of 2014, and a $3.3 billion, or $3.22 per share, loss for the year due to a reduction on carrying values of oil and gas, as well as impairments.
